Me, me, me…

You don’t really want to know, do you? Are you sure? OK, well here goes then…

As a child, I won almost every writing competition I entered. At 13 my poem was published in Cadbury’s 6th Book of Children’s Poetry. (Read it now, if you like). My mom and dad were convinced I’d go to Oxford or Cambridge and become a literary genius. Then I discovered music and boys and all of that went out of the window.

It’s taken a degree in art and theatre, an extended waitressing career, a few years teaching English in Sicily and a stint in marketing for me to realise what my mother knew all along: I love writing.

So here I am…
